The project

What we did here.

The garage was framed out inside with new stud walls to form the bedroom, the en-suite and a short hallway. Floor, walls and ceiling were insulated before the plasterboard went on, so the new rooms are as warm as the rest of the house.

A roof light and a new window onto the garden make the bedroom unusually bright for a garage conversion. The en-suite has a shower with a black-framed screen, a vanity basin and a heated towel rail, and the hallway has a herringbone floor.
